Care that comes to your area
Optum Utah and Idaho are proud to present Optum mobile clinic — the first of its kind for Optum members in the Utah and Idaho areas. It offers an easy, convenient way to get care and general health screenings.
How it works
Optum mobile clinic is a recreational vehicle (RV) that goes to different areas. After it parks, simply board the RV for your visit. Unlike a regular doctor visit, it offers many important screenings that most primary care clinics don’t do on site.
Clinic staff includes nurse practitioners and medical assistants. You’ll have a separate, private space to complete your screenings.
Get your annual health screenings
Our health screenings help support your doctor’s care plan. We share all results with your doctor. That way, you can talk about them if needed. At your visit, we’ll go over your medical history.

Screenings offered
This screening requires a single drop of blood by gently pricking the finger. The blood will be tested to measure average blood sugar levels over the last three months.
We place blood pressure cuffs on your arms and legs. This checks the blood vessels and measures the blood pressure in your limbs. For this test, you need to take off your shoes and socks.
This is a painless exam that tests for bone strength. It's mostly recommended for women. We'll take a handheld ultrasound device and hold it to your wrist. This simple scan of the bone will take about three minutes.
This screening checks the nerves in your feet. We do this by sending a sensation through the bottom of your foot. You tell us what you feel. For this test, you need to take off your shoes and socks.
For this test, you'll leave a small sample of urine with us. It will be evaluated for kidney function and health. You'll also get a simple kit to complete at home and ship back for further testing.
If you have diabetes, you should do this test once a year. It’s completely painless and checks for eye health. We'll take a picture of your eye. An ophthalmologist will review the picture to be sure your eye is okay.
This short screening tests for lung health. You’ll breathe into a small device that measures how much air you can breathe in and out. This should only take one good breath.
